Somewhat disappointed... this started out really well, and then I made the stupid mistake of slowly pressing harder and harder with the colour pencils until a) most of the texturing got smothered, and b) the only way to salvage the picture was to go over the good bits with more colour so at least it was consistent.
Sigh.
Up side, Faber-Castell pencils do give a lot of colour, and don't crumble or scratch like my old Derwents. Now to master the knack of being gentle with them so's to actually get the fur texturing/colour I want, rather than what I'm forced into by being a heavy handed clod...
