The son of Tarwin, Troyston enjoys what might be considered a more priviledged position than he has any right to. Although somewhat delicate in appearance and mannerisms, (both being things which often cause him to be underestimated, especially by his father), Troyston is intelligent, brave, and honourable. He is also pretty convinced that when aggression flares up between the Freelands and Lordenor, both sides are being played off against the other by some third party.
Aided by Aleana Irontooth and Fellirion Forrester, he sets about searching the Freelands for the true source of the attacks upon both powers' territories, while trying to keep his father from declaring an all out war upon their perceived enemy.
