Long in the employ of Fellirion Forrester, Cassanya is kind, thoughtful and surprisingly gentle for someone of her size and strength. Somewhere before the story really starts, she is sent to the west coast, with the plan to find an old friend of Fellirion's and escort him back. The situation changes rapidly when she recieves a message to the effect that that Fellirion's nephew is in trouble, needs help, and all other things are now secondary.
Having shared her childhood with Balthor, Cassanya is very pleased to run into him once again, inadvertently pulling him off guard duty and into the greatest adventure of thier lives.
Though she would never say so, she thinks Feral is kind of sweet. Though perhaps a little overprotective, her kindness is a comfort to Feral, and he feels more able to talk to her than any of the others, even if she hardly ever calls him by name.
